The Italian Cypress Tree grows in a very upright, narrow columnar fashion. Its shape is compact, making it perfect for tight, narrow spaces. In fact, even though this evergreen has a mature height of up to 50 feet, the width is a mere 2 to 3 feet!

This tall, unique tree is sure to get noticed by passersby. The blue-green color of the Italian Cypress foliage is highly sought after in landscape design. No matter how you use this stunning tree, there is no doubt it will add value and beauty to your property.

Growing up to 3 feet per year, the Italian Cypress is certainly a fast growing tree. They require little water, adapt to most soils, and are heat tolerant. Italian Cypress trees are also drought tolerant. Full to partial sun helps them thrive.

The Italian Cypress is gaining popularity in newer home developments and high end neighborhoods giving your property the dramatic pizzazz it has been lacking. The Italian Cypress adds height to your property without taking up much room.

Choose a sunny location with well drained soil for your Italian Cypress.

Water in well at the time of planting. Be sure not to let your new trees dry out within the first few months before they are established. We recommend watering your trees as soon as they arrive even before you plant them. This will ensure that the roots are moist and ready for planting. Once established Italian Cypresses are drought tolerant and will only need to be watered once or twice a month in summer.

There is no need to prune an Italian Cypress. If you choose to prune for shape or to remove problem branches winter is the ideal time.

Early Spring is the best time to fertilize and add any soil amendments.

6 new Italian cypresses!

All 6 are in the ground, mulched and ready for winter. Cannot wait for them the sink their roots down and begin to grow. The next 3 years I will treat them as my "babies". They arrived in great shape and I believe they will grow healthy and tall!

Very pleased

I received 20 of the 3-4' Italian cypress trees and I was very pleased to see they were exactly what I pictured. They are very green and healthy. There was a problem with the shipper (Fed Ex) in that they stacked them haphazardly and some of the boxes were bent or crushed. Thank goodness you pack them as good as you do, so none of the trees were damaged.

Hope they live and thrive!

These trees arrived very well-packed, quite moist, and in great shape. I'd never ordered trees by mail / internet before, and I was a bit nervous, but The Planting Tree person I spoke with was comfortable to consult with and the company sent excellent saplings. We live in Baltimore, Maryland, and our soil has clay and doesn't drain as well as I'd like. I hope these Italian Cypress trees do well, but I'm not entirely optimistic, under the circumstances. However, if they fail, it will not be due to the quality of the trees or delivery by The Planting Tree.
