Low Maintenance, Evergreen shrub that keeps blooming over and over again!

If you plan on planting a cluster of azaleas or are just looking to add color to your home, Encore Azaleas are the perfect choice.

The Autumn Angel Encore Azalea displays tons of white blooms from spring all the way to fall! This evergreen azalea will look great all year around. Flowers are prominent for an extended growing season and fall and winter gives way to foliage that is still intact. No more naked azaleas in the winter. Not only does this shrub look great all year around, but it is also disease resistant, pest resistant, and heat tolerant.

Thinking about planting as a hedge? The Autumn Angel will look amazing. How about a cool s-shaped hedge with some smaller plants to give a nice layering effect? Encore azaleas paired with Emerald Arborvitae for height can give your home a nice warm look. Place 2 Emerald Arborvitae on each side of the windows and a couple of encore azaleas under the window. This is a simple design that is low maintenance. Check out our Landscape Designers gallery for some landscape ideas.

Plant you encore azalea in full sun for more blooms. They like well drained soil, so don't plant in a wet muddy area. These plants are low maintenance. Use our special fertilizer for optimum blooms.

When planting your Azalea be sure you have the right location and conditions for your new plants to thrive.

Planting time: Spring and Fall are ideal times to plant Azaleas. However, if you avoid freezing and extremely hot temperatures you can plant any time of the year

Sun: Full or part sun

Soil: Be sure your soil is well-drained and acidic. If you have alkaline soil, be sure to amend your soil. To acidify your soil amend with compost, elemental sulfur, or use fertilizers specific for acid loving plants. Mulching with pine straw or pine bark will help over time as they begin to break down, but are not an immediate solution. To improve drainage in something like a heavy clay soil, add compost and be sure to loosen up the soil well before planting.

Fertilizer: Choose a fertilizer for acid loving plants. Fertilize in late winter or early spring to give the upcoming blooms a boost.

Pruning: You don’t need to prune azaleas, but pruning after they are done blooming can help encourage a bushier growth and renew an older plant.

The Autumn Angel Encore Azalea adds pure white color to the southern landscape and beyond. Azaleas are excellent for borders and mass plantings. This evergreen shrub jazzes up gardens and mixed beds. At 2 to 3 feet tall and wide at maturity this stunning azalea can even be used in foundation plantings. Try this flowering shrub in a container to add a little class to your entryway, porch, patio, or deck. For borders or low hedges plant about 2 feet apart on center. Otherwise, plant about 4 feet apart to give your plants space in-between.

Good Product!

I ordered 4 3 gal. Encore Azaleas and they were delivered in good shape. 3 plants looked in excellent shape. One plant had a fair number of yellowing leaves, but looked otherwise healthy. This was my second order this year. I've been happy with the product.

Magically

All the plants looked healthy, but this particular one was a bit smaller than I expected and not quite so full. The 5 azaelias looked so healthy and full with glossy leaves!! So proud of them.

Dwarf Azleas

I bought 4 dwarf azaleas and they came in good shape. 3 of the 4 have blooms on them and seem not to have been affected by the travel.

Excellent plants!!

I was a bit skeptical ordering plants online, but needed these encore azaleas to finish a bed and could not get any locally. Much to my surprise, the plants arrived quickly and in excellent health. I could not be more pleased!

Autumn Angel Encore Azalea

So far I would definitely recommend the Autumn Angel Encore Azalea I ordered from The Planting Tree. It came in excellent condition and well secured in the box. I planted it according to the instructions on your website and it is doing fine. It has yet to blossom but has been in the ground less than a week
