Flowering Shrubs bring beauty to your home each and every bloom!  Flowering shrubs can be planted simply just by themselves as a specimen or planted into hedges or mass plantings for a more powerful display of color.

There are lots of different types of Flowering Shrubs.  We have Hydrangeas, Loropetalums, Gardenias and much more.  Below we will discuss some of the different flowering shrubs we offer and some creative ways they can be used in the landscape.

Lets start off with Hydrangeas.  Hydrangeas are one of the most popular flowering shrubs we ship due to the large colorful and creative blooms they have.  Hydrangeas grow green lush leaves that push out in the spring time.  As your hydrangea starts to grow, blooms will start to develop.  Hydrangeas have such interesting blooms because depending on the variety, they range from medium to extremely large balls of bloom.  Hydrangeas are great for specimens and mass plantings.  Most people love hydrangeas because they can take the cuttings and use them for flower displays in the home.  Hydrangeas are very easy to maintain and require little care.

Gardenias are another great flowering shrub.  Gardenias are an evergreen which hold their leaves throughout the entire year.  During the late spring and summer months, gardenias provide an abundance of blooms and don't forget, they are fragrant!  Which makes the gardenia a popular flowering shrub for areas next to your front door or backyard patio.  Cuttings from gardenias can also be used in a flower display adding a pleasant sent and creamy color.  Gardenias can be used in a hedge or as a specimen.  We also like using gardenias in containers on a patio.

Drift Roses and Knock out Roses are another popular flowering shrub.  Drift roses are well suited for a lower rose bush and remain short which have many uses in the landscape.  They are very resistant to many disease and are no maintenance.  Knockout Roses will grow much larger than drift roses.  Knockout roses are better when planted as a backdrop and then planting smaller plants in front of the knockout roses for a more dramatic effect.

Camellias are one of the coolest flowering shrubs for the southern areas.  The leaves on a camellia can get very dark green and when the blooms pop, the color is amazing.   Camellias come in many different varieties.  Some varieties bloom in the spring-summer and other varieties bloom late fall starting in October.  Camellias go great around homes and also in natural areas.  They can also perform well in shady areas which make them a great flowering shrub.

Azaleas are used in almost any landscape around the world.  We sell a few different types of azaleas.  Our most popular azalea is the Encore Azalea because it just keeps blooming.  This flowering shrub comes in almost any color you can imaging and its blooms are so interesting to stare at.  Encore azaleas can be planting in mass plantings or just mixed throughout the landscape.  You will be amazed on how much these flowering shrubs bloom.

Butterfly bushes are also considered a flowering shrub.  Butterfly bushes do exactly what they say.  The amount of butterflies they attract is amazing.  At our nursery, when we visit this section of plants, we are almost engulfed in butterflies...  Butterfly bushes come in all different colors and range from tall to dwarf.  The new dwarf varieties are becoming very popular and they do not require any maintenance.  They make great flowering shrubs and also can be used in containers..

We will be adding more and more flowering shrubs so check back later if you can't find what your looking for.
