Product Details

Originating in East Asia, the Pomegranate Tree has spread throughout the United States. You could easily find this popular fruit tree growing both in commercial areas or home gardens. The Pomegranate Tree will quickly grow to be 8- 12 ft. tall. The fruit of the tree will begin to ripen in late August, early September. It will produce an abundance of sweet, tangy pomegranates. Once the tree is established it will yield 100 or more Pomegranates a season. They continue to produce year after year. There is nothing like the taste of a pomegranate off the tree. They are so much sweeter than the ones you buy in a store. The seeds of this pomegranate are very nutritious and soft enough to be chewed and eaten. Pomegranates are full of antioxidants which are beneficial to your health. Pomegranates are one of the best stored fruits out there. You can keep them in a cool dark space or refrigerate them. They will last quite some time. They resist both bruising and discoloration. This is more than just a fruit tree. It also will add beautiful color to your yard. Radiant red-orange and yellow flowers bloom in the fall. This low maintenance, fast producing, pomegranate thrives in full sun. Once matured and established it they are drought tolerant, pest resistant and are adaptable to various soils. Pomegranate trees thrive in zones 8- 11 outdoors but could also be grown indoors in zones 4-11. For those living in areas up north that tends to get cold, plant your Pomegranate in a container. This way it is easy to transport the tree to your garage or indoors during the winter. Though tolerant of most temperatures, the Pomegranate cannot withstand temperatures below 12 degrees Fahrenheit. T he Pomegranate Tree is self pollinating, however, if you would like to produce even more fruit from your tree a partner would be helpful. If you are looking for not only a healthy, plentiful supply of a nutritious fruit but also a beautiful addition to any yard or house, the Pomegranate Tree is for you.

Questions and Answers

Planting Instructions

Step 1:

Unpack all of your plants right away! Look for the perfect location. Make sure you are planting in the correct light conditions.

Step 2:

Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball. Position your plant in the hole. Make sure the top of the root ball is slightly higher than the original grade of the bed. Also check to make sure it is straight from all sides.

Step 3:

Fill up hole with water before placing new plant in hole in order to saturate the surrounding soil.  Once the water is absorbed place your plant in the hole and water thoroughly.

Step 4:

Mix the potting soil and the soil removed from the hole. Start by backfilling soil around the root ball. Carefully pack in the soil to remove any air pockets. Water plant thoroughly again until the soil will not hold any more water. This will ensure that your new plant will be a success.

Step 5:

Fertilize around your plant with the amount recommended on the package. Our special Fertilizer contains all of the nutrients to keep your plants growing and healthy. Repeat every 3 months.

Step 6:

Finish up by mulching around your new plant.  Apply 2 - 3 inches of mulch around the plant and plant bed. Mulch will help keep the soil moist and keep weeds out.

Step 7:

Keep watered with a hose every 2-3 days for 2 weeks. This is critical for plant survival. In the third week, begin to water as needed depending on the weather. Always check by placing your finger under the mulch to see if the soil is moist.
